Nightmares

Nuclear energy’s second phase of three and a half decades is turbulent. From one angle, success arrives, for nuclear electricity booms in the 1960s and early 1970s, reaching some 17% of global generation in 1993. Yet dark clouds emerge, and an enduring antinuclear movement arises and blooms. The Three Mile Island and Chernobyl calamities signal a seemingly permanent downturn.

Beyond this obvious description of those years, there’s not much more I can say about this book because the book is unwritten. Who knows what my research and thinking will reveal? Who knows what form my narration will take?

What I can guarantee is that I’ll take great pleasure in the upcoming work.
