Fifteen years after the world’s first reactor began operating in wartime Chicago, how far has this revolutionary energy technology progressed? How many power reactors are up and running? How many are under construction? Which core reactor designs compete globally? In 1957, which nations have at least made a tangible start toward a power reactor capability? Do any of those nations have mendacious intentions?
For my own benefit, I’ve captured the above information on a global map, courtesy of wonderful map designer, Julie Witmer.
